Spring on the Farm: New to the Coop!

filed under

Meet the latest little additions to our chicken coop! We’ve been so excited to welcome this year’s unique arrivals and almost forgot how fun & friendly they can be at this age.

We have a house full of spring babies (including 5 kittens) & they have been keeping the kids very busy! All the new life that comes with this season feels so refreshing & rewarding after a long, cold winter. So here is our annual chicks-in-china photo shoot; my ridiculous, long-standing, farmhouse kitchen tradition – it wouldn’t be spring around here without it!

MaryAnn & Wanda; June’s buff laced polish chickens she ordered for 4-H this year.

Our lavender ladies; Lucille & Ethel.

Thanks for taking the time visit my quiet, but cozy, little corner of the internet! I’ll be back very soon with one of my kids’ favorite recipes.
