June & I just finished this fun & easy floral Easter egg project! It takes only a few items:
The steps are simple: cover the eggs with strips of the washi tape, smoothing as you go. (We found that working with shorter strips works best.) This isn’t a perfect process and there will be folds in the tape, but the tiny pattern on this tape camouflages imperfections. There really isn’t a wrong way to cover the egg, just make sure it’s as smooth as possible. Once the egg is covered with tape, using the paintbrush, coat the egg with a thin coat of Mod Podge. When the first coat is almost dry (after just a few minutes) press down any bumps for a smoother final finish. Paint a thin second coat, check for and press down any bumps, let them dry completely; they’re finished & ready for display!
Happy Easter, my friends!
